Jeb Johnston



Jeb has a lifelong history with sport. Hailing from an athletic family that had multiple Collegiate athletes, Jeb left athletics behind when he pursued a career in music. Missing the competitive aspect of sports, he satisfied that itch by getting involved in combat sports. Submission Wrestling, Boxing, Muay Thai, MMA, and BJJ became his hobbies. During this time Jeb found Crossfit and utilized WODs as a supplemental conditioning method. At 33 years old, Jeb got tired of being a skinny 143lb practitioner and resolved to grow through weight training. As an adult novice he searched out the help of Jason Ferruggia whose methodology still shapes Jeb’s fitness philosophy today. 3 years and 45lbs later, Jeb is a nationally ranked lightweight Strongman in NAS and is looking forward to competing in the newly formed US Strongman league. He is a fitness blogger, online coach, and personal trainer specializing in body transformation through weight training and optimized nutrition. He has been featured as a fitness tech in Men’s Fitness and can be seen in The Truth About Strength Training by Sean Hyson and on MensFitness.com. Jeb lives in Brooklyn with his wife Sarah and dogs Hayden and Bigsby.
